Bay Acoustics offer a one hour introductory course in acoustics free of charge for the architectural community. The session includes a brief history of architectural acoustics, a review of acoustical terms, testing, analysis and modeling methodologies, the latest on acoustical product options and topics specific to certain building types. Architects are also encouraged to request a featured topic for presentation and discussion pertinent to a current project or firm offering, i.e. ‘Acoustics in Education’, ’Acoustics in Healthcare’, etc.
The course is taught by our principal Michael Kerr. Michael has taught in the Architecture Department at the University of Texas at Arlington and at the Audio Recording Technology Institute.
